Title: Occupational Therapist (Home & Community-based Services)
Wages: $68.97/hour
Type: Part-time/Contract

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide contract-based services under the Home and Community-based Services (HCS) program. This role involves working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to support greater independence in daily living and community engagement. Services are delivered in natural environments, including client homes and community settings, and are guided by individualized habilitation goals.
This is a contract position with a flexible schedule. Weekly hours may vary depending on caseload and client needs.
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop personalized intervention plans
Provide in-home and community-based occupational therapy services
Collaborate with families, service coordinators, and interdisciplinary teams
Document all services accurately and timely in accordance with HCS standards
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Master’s or Doctorate level)
Licensure: Active Occupational Therapist license in Texas
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in home health preferred
Prior experience with HCS or other Medicaid waiver programs is a plus
Certifications:
Current CPR certification
Additional Requirements:
Strong assessment and communication skills
Comfortable working independently in non-traditional therapy settings
Familiarity with electronic health record systems preferred
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
Must pass all required background checks and credentialing processes
