Position: Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport Services: Safely transport passengers to and from various locations.
  • Passenger Assistance: Help passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensure they are securely seated, and provide assistance with mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, and canes.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws, transportation regulations, and safety protocols to ensure passenger well-being.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to keep the vehicle in good working condition. Report any issues promptly.
  • Scheduling and Timeliness: Adhere to designated routes and schedules, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a friendly and respectful demeanor with all passengers and their caregivers.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of trip details, including mileage, passenger information, and any incidents or delays.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in transportation or driving roles is preferred, especially in serving individuals with disabilities.

License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Skills: Strong driving skills, familiarity with adaptive driving equipment, and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.

Physical Requirements: Ability to assist passengers with mobility challenges, including lifting and securing wheelchairs.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach.
